Bay Learning Academy, Mt Maunganui English and Rugby

Rugby is New Zealand’s national sport, and whenever the All Blacks appear on the international stage a nation of supporters watches their every move.

The sport of rugby is embedded in the hearts and minds of Kiwis and, for many, watching games is akin to a religious observance - at the very least, most New Zealanders would agree it is an integral part of the culture.

The All Blacks, New Zealand's national rugby team, are one of the most feared opponents in the rugby world. Seeing them on the field in their black jerseys emblazoned with the silver fern, performing the haka, stirs pride in the hearts of Kiwis around the world.
