Demi Pair Training Scheme with English Teaching College In Wellington or Palmerston North, New Zealand
Gain International experience in a childcare position and earn the NZ Child First Aid Certificate plus the NZQA Approved English and Demi-Pair Certificate. During your stay you will get ongoing support and advice throughout the programme from the Demi-Pair Coordinator.
Students on this programme study English in the morning for 15 hours a week, and learn childcare practices with their host family in the afternoons, evenings and the weekend for 15 hours a week. Students will typically help the family with childcare, meal preparation, light housework (laundry, dishes, vacuuming etc.), school pickups and drop off.
There are five childcare assignments to complete in order to receive a certificate. Some students with a work visa may be able to be paid for additional hours. No fee is payable for accommodation or for meals as the students are required to live in the family home.
The Au Pair Programme 2023 price (Min. 18 years, IELTS 5 level, Working Holiday visa, or Study visa minimum 26 weeks): cost for 12 weeks 4,740 NZ$, for 24 weeks 8,740 NZ$, and for 36 weeks 12,400 NZ$ incl food and housing
