High School Overview
All High School programmes in New Zealand include Homestay with a selected, and by the New Zealand government checked, host family. During weekdays 2 meals, and in the weekend 3 meals are included. Also European summer period (July – August) as a short term programme is possible, as well as 6 month programmes. Please ask for quotes.

Additional cost may be stationery, activity costs (trips, weekend, outings, etc.), subject materials (woodwork, cooking, etc.). Pocket money for the child is never included.
New Zealand School System (Intermediate and Secondary Schools)
11-12 years Form 1 (Year 7) Intermediate School
12-13 years Form 2 (Year 8) Intermediate School
13-14 years Form 3 (Year 9)
14-15 years Form 4 (Year 10)
15-16 years Form 5 (Year 11) NCEA Level 1 or IGCSE Cambridge Exams
16-17 years Form 6 (Year 12) NCEA Level 2 or AS level Cambridge Exams
17-18 years Form 7 (Year 13) NCEA Level 3 or A Level Cambridge Exams
There are four terms per year, divided into 10 weeks each. The school year starts in February and there are two weeks of holidays in April, June and September, summer holidays in December and January.
