Situated on New Zealand’s North Island, Auckland is both the biggest city in New Zealand and one of its most beautiful. Auckland has beaches, harbours and mountains to enjoy. You can learn about the native Maori culture, and Auckland nurtures a vibrant entertainment and cultural life which will be sure to please any student wishing to learn English in New Zealand.

LSI Auckland is located right in the centre of Auckland, close to cafes, restaurants and transport links. Our language school provides an extremely comfortable environment in which to study English – our bright and airy classrooms overlook the palm trees in Myers Park, and student facilities include wireless internet, a computer room with televisions and DVDs, a prayer room, a small library and a student lounge with a fridge, microwave and hot drinks machine. We offer TOEFL and Cambridge Examination (CAE) preparation courses, as well as more general ESL/EFL programmes.

Our social programme will give you access to the best cultural, social and sporting activities that Auckland has to offer. From surfing, diving and sailing in summer to horse riding and weekend skiing trips in winter, you’ll have every opportunity to develop your English language skills outside the classroom, while having a great time with teachers and friends.

Our homestays are carefully selected and offer students the opportunity to learn more about Kiwi culture in a comfortable setting while studying English in Auckland.

Study at LSI Auckland

Standard English 20 or 24 lessons per week. During the lessons you rapidly improve your communication skills in a variety of everyday situations. You will cover the following areas: grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking, listening, reading, writing. 

Intensive English 30 lessons per week
This course concentrates on all the areas that you need to achieve a much greater fluency in a short period of time. This course is suitable for students who wish to study intensively and get a well-rounded insight into the language and country.

English for Business 10 lessons per week
English is the international language of business. This is why we have developed a special modular course carefully designed to improve your business communication skills.

TOEFL iBT/ TOEIC / IELTS Preparation Courses
We offer preparation courses for these examinations as part of an LSI Intensive 30 course.

English for Pilots: This course covers all the ground theory required to gain a private or commercial pilot’s licence. It is suitable for students wanting to be pilots or pilots who want English training. Practical flying sessions can also be arranged with a partner flying school at additional cost.
NZ$ 5,160 for 4 weeks English intensive + 10 weeks one-on-one

English for Nursing: This course is ideal for students who wish to study for a Bachelor of Nursing degree, or for nurses who wish to gain valuable work experience in an English speaking environment. In addition to lessons, you will have the opportunity to work 20 hrs/week on a paid internship in the Health Care industry.

English for Teaching (Standard 20 plus 5 individual lessons): Aimed at speakers of other languages, this course equips students with the basic tools required to teach English as a Foreign Language.
