Sailing at Rangitoto College

New Zealand is surrounded by oceans on either side and Sailing is a favourite pastime for New Zealanders. Rangitoto College and Murrays Bay Sailing Club are proud to provide a fantastic sailing academy for beginners and intermediate level students. This programme offers students a unique experience and a chance to learn and develop sailing skills, confidence, courage, practical water safety and team work skills.

Rangitoto College is excited to offer this unique sailing programme and are proud to be the only school on the North Shore to offer this to experience to International Students

Working in conjunction with the World Class Sailing Champions at Murrays Bay Sailing Club, we have put together a fantastic new Sailing Academy to provide students with an experience they might never be exposed to in their native countries. If they have a passion to get out on the water and learn to sail with some of the best coaches and sailors in New Zealand then this is the right programme to join.

We can accept both male and female students (13-18 years old) who have never sailed before or who are of intermediate level sailing ability. A good understanding of English and spoken English is required as you need to be able to listen and follow instructions.

Students must be able to swim 50m with a life jacket and 25m unaided Term 1 and Term 4 Term 1 (February – April) nz$ 900 Term 4 (October – December) nz$ 900 To join the Sailing program, students must enrol at Rangitoto College as an international student (more information about fees, homestay and subjects can be found on the website).
